November 14-15,
2009
San Diego Yacht Club
By Sky Adams
San Diego Yacht Club hosted the second Perry, a C420
series, on November 14 and 15. The wind was light to medium
all weekend, never getting above 13 knots. It shifted right
both days, but the left occasionally had more pressure. Two
of the Santa Barbara teams, Newt Cutcliffe and Kieron Kavanagh,
and Sky Adams and Nick Perez, were new to the boats and made
big improvements over the weekend. Tucker Atterbury and Davey
McBride finished 13th overall out of thirty six. The weekend
was especially festive because we celebrated Nick's16th birthday
on Saturday.
