A group of Santa Barbara youth sailors went down to San Diego for a CFJ regatta and the annual Harold Adams team racing event.

The third Shadden event of the series was held on Saturday under light conditions. A total of four races were scored and at the end of the day Stephen Long and Jonathan Beardon finished 24th, Matt Long and Hunter Yegendorf finished 26th and Soren Wilde and Dustin Deardorff finished 44th in the 50 boat fleet.

On Sunday the six Santa Barbarans pooled their talents to make a three boat team. Team Santa Barbara raced against ten other top teams from Southern California one team at a time for a true team racing event. The conditions were excellent and made for an exciting day of racing. This was the first time this team was assembled and they worked extremely well together.

The outcome was unanimous, fun was had by all and next year they hope to enter the sell-out event again.
