About Us:
History
The Santa Barbara Youth Foundation was formed in 1968
by members of the Santa Barbara Yacht Club to meet the need
for a youth sailing program in our community. The Foundation
is incorporated under the laws of the State of California
and the Internal Revenue Service.
Purpose
The purpose of the Santa Barbara Youth Foundation is
to develop in young people, through the sport of sailing, attributes
of self-reliance, responsibility, teamwork and sportsmanship,
together with a constant awareness of the requirements of safety.
The Foundation was established as a non-profit corporation
and donations are tax deductible. The Foundation is qualified
to receive charitable contributions in accordance with Internal
Revenue Code section 501.c.3. The Federal taxpayer identification
number is 95-2487510.
Voluntary officers and directors serving without compensation
direct the Foundations objectives and policies. Sailing
classes, and related instructional periods, are conducted
by qualified US Sailing certified instructors who are paid
for their services.

One 4 h.p. outboard, one 5 h.p. outboard
One 15 h.p outboard, one 30 h.p. outboard
One Boston Whaler 13' outboard motor chase boat
One Pointer 14' outboard motor chase boat
One Sturey 13' outboard motor chase boat
Two three boat trailers
Three single-dinghy trailers
Floating dock in Marina One, SB Harbor, approximately 2,400
sq. ft. with racks and storage.
Miscellaneous equipment - VHF radios, loud hailer, racing
marks, etc.
