FJ Racing Team
Formerly known as the "Middle School Program,"
this program is specifically designed for sailors over 125
lbs. OR over 15 who have some sailing experience and
are making the transition from US Sabots or Optimists to larger
boats. Participants may be introduced to a variety of different
boats including Club FJ's, Club 420's, 29ers, Lasers and J/24's.
Emphasis is on an introduction to more advanced racing tactics
and techniques and having FUN! Practices are on Friday afternoons
from 3:00 p.m. to sunset.
Specifically, this program is designed to prepare participants
for the Shadden Series; and, to a lesser degree, for the Perry
and Ullman/Frost series. See the calendar
for specific dates and locations.
Practices are on Friday afternoons from 3:00 to sunset beginning
September 4th, 2009 through January 15, 2010. Scholarships
are available.
