Middle School Program
This program is specifically designed for sailors in 6th-9th
grades who have some sailing experience and are making the
transition from US Sabots or Optimists to larger boats. Participants
will be introduced to a variety of different boats including
Club FJ's, Club 420's, 29ers, Lasers and J/24's. Emphasis
is on an introduction to more advanced racing tactics and
techniques and having FUN! Practices are on Friday afternoons
from 3:00 p.m. to sunset.
This program is coordinated and coached by former US Sailing
Team member and Olympic aspirant Leslie Deardorff.
Practices are on Friday afternoons from 3:00 to sunset beginning
September 12th, 2008 through January 16, 2009. Scholarships
are available.
